The 18-hole “Ponderosa” course at the Ponderosa Country Club in Batesburg-Leesville, SC features 6,820 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.1, and it has a slope rating of 128 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Ed Riccoboni, the Ponderosa Golf Course opened in 1965. The challenging layout provides scenic views of rural Lexington and Saluda counties. In 2002, the Ponderosa completed a total renovation of all 18 holes including greens, fairways, and tee boxes making the Ponderosa Country Club a true hidden gem of the Midlands. This is a Fund Raiser in support of the Lexington County Choral Society, and funds are to support their service mission for our community.
