Auditions for Membership

Auditions for new members will be held the first two rehearsals of each concert season immediately following rehearsal. Please join us for rehearsals on these designated evenings at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of Saxe-Gotha Presbyterian Church, 5503 Sunset Boulevard, Lexington, SC. Plan to remain afterwards for an individual audition with Hal and Grayson for possible placement in the choir.

Rehearsals

REHEARSALS: Our upcoming season will begin on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of Saxe-Gotha Presbyterian Church, 5503 Sunset Boulevard, Lexington, SC.

Expectations: Folders will be distributed to New and Returning members in the Narthex of the Fellowship Hall beginning at 6:30 pm, so plan to arrive early to complete or update data sheets, pay membership dues of $40.00, and pick-up music folders. Please review our constitution on this website under the About Us tab. This document contains our policies concerning membership that include our Audio/Visual Image Release By-Law (adopted February 21, 2011) for adults 21 years of age and older, AS WELL AS, student members.

STUDENT MEMBERS: It is the sole responsibility of student members 20 years of age or younger to submit a hard copy of the Audio/Visual Image Release Form dated and signed by PARENT(s) or LEGAL GUARDIAN(s) to the membership chairman within the first three weeks of the concert season in which they begin membership. The form may be downloaded from our website or obtained directly from the membership chairman, will be valid for only one year and must be re-submitted each year until the age of 21. Failure to comply with this requirement may jeopardize membership status and/or concert participation. Please click here for Audio/Visual Image Release Form.

ALL MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE REHEARSAL TIME FRAME: Regular rehearsals begin promptly at 7:00 pm and end promptly at 9:00 pm. The Final Dress Rehearsal begins promptly at 7:00 pm and ends approximately 9:30 pm depending upon the needs of each concert.

In the event a member must miss rehearsals, arrive late or leave early, please contact your Section Leader or our Membership Chairman to let them know. If more than four (4) rehearsals per concert preparation have been missed, the member may not be permitted to sing in the concert.
